In Development is the third studio album by Finnish-American rapper Lil Squeaky. It was released on March 26, 2021. The album covers a number of different musical styles and genres, though primarily focusing on hip-hop, and the album is entirely produced by Squeaky himself. The album is widely regarded as one of the best Flex Entertainment projects.

In Development features many different styled instrumentals. There are elements from rock, indie, boom bap, trap and even 80s influenced music.

In Development was met with widespread acclaim from fans, who widely proclaimed it is Squeaky's best project. However it was met with some negative reception from some who enjoyed Lil Squeaky's older work and also some critics who had biases due to background drama. On the music reviewing site AlbumOfTheYear, the album garnered a rating of 66 from 26 reviews.
Chart performance[edit | edit source]
In Development debuted at number one on the Braeden's Most Played Albums chart with 360,000 units sold. It beat out the likes of NF and 24kGoldn who also released their albums that week. It became his first number one album and third from the Flex Entertainment label. It is also his sixth top ten release in his career. The following week, it fell to number five with 270,000 units sold in its first full tracking week. It spent twenty weeks in the top ten, passing his own release "God Mode" for the longest charting Flex album at the time. The album was the 10th best-selling album of 2021, a first for an artist under the Flex Entertainment label. It also was the 26th best-selling release of 2022. It was certified four-times platinum by BMP.
