  Moshtak Al-Hassan (born September 9), better known by his stage name Lil AK Trap is a Canadian rapper, songwriter and ocassional singer. Lil Ak Trap is 19 years old. He has flow and interesting lyrics. He has two brothers TEKKTAKEOFF And HussianSubPro   He is best known for his singles "See You No More", "COVID-19", "Capper", "Crazy", "I Made It" and his most iconic track to date "Dope". He has released two projects, "AK'S WORLD 01" and "MIXED EMOTIONS" as well as a short EP in 2022.   His music contains off kilter flows with odd lyrics that stay in the listener's head long after they are played. His more recent output is more melodic in nature and uses an abundance of autotune. Lil Ak trap is currently facing his biggest epidemic with his drug addiction (Crystal Methamphetamine)

Beginnings[edit | edit source]

Lil AK Trap began his dream and passion recording songs such as "Sippin" from a simple apple ear pod microphone, covered in a sock, mimicking a studio microphone with his younger brother editing songs on an iPhone. Soon enough releasing multiple singles like "Lacking" featuring Pull Up Fotis "Straight Outta That." and "Pain" He gained a following from people at his school. unfortunately, getting a full amount of negative feedback.  

Early 2019 - Late 2019: Flex Entertainment + First Hits[edit | edit source]

On August 23, 2019, AK Trap was signed to Flex Entertainment. He was able to release his new single "Sippin" to streaming services. He released three more singles: "Money", "Pain", and "Misery." After appearing in Hip Hop HQ's video for the Worst Rap Songs of 2019, "Sippin" gained thousands of views. It went on to peak at No. 8 on the Flex Entertainment Hot 100. He announced his debut album "AKS WORLD 01", scheduled for release in 2020. Aside on AK Trap creating sensational music, AK Trap was affiliated in the most dangerous Calgary Gangs, Aside robbing, stealing, fighting, and even drug use.  

Early 2020 - Late 2020: Grinding + Career Building[edit | edit source]

During early 2020, AK Trap began contact with a professional producer with experience on auto-tuning, mixing and mastering for around twenty years, this producer runs a studio business called "Alchemy Studios" AK Trap's first ever song to be recorded in a professional studio is "Act Up" a 1:47 song that would change his career and people's perspective on AK Trap. In which he releases a peek song for "AKs World 01" He released "Capper" on February 4, 2020, The song reached a thousand plays on SoundCloud in a week. It debuted and peaked at No. 5 on the Flex Entertainment Hot 100. Shortly after being released from custody, on April of 2020, AK Trap meets Kaydence from his younger brothers school, after connecting, suddenly dating. AK Trap talked about changing his stage name to AK Bando. It has since become somewhat of a secondary stage name for him. After AK Trap returns to the studio multiple times to finish his album, after finally releasing it on the Summer Of 2020. Grade 11 Starts for AK Trap on September 4th 2020, a few months later, going with a new look with one side of his hair dyed red. On December 5th 2020, AK Trap alongside his younger brother, professionally known as "TEKKFOOT" go on air with Calgary's most known podcast station "Boring Podcast" chatting about love stories, romances, and overall improvement - (DEC 5 2020 PODCAST LINK)

2021: Melodic change of style[edit | edit source]

On January 19, 2021, AK Trap releases "See Me No More" sticking with a melodic feel and style. The song debuted at No. 1 on the Flex Entertainment Hot 100, becoming his first chart topper. AK Trap has been going to the same studio for almost a year, working on new melodic songs. Since then, AK Trap has received a lot of positive feedback, he became one of the most popular and respected individual rappers at his local High School. He released the single "Trippin" on March 12, 2021. Despite getting thousands of plays on Soundcloud, the song only peaked at No. 14. He started hoping on Instagram lives with the infamous Island Boys to clown their appearance. This caused his Instagram account to rack up more followers. His second album "Mixed Emotions" came out on July 15, 2021. It received negative reviews from critics, suggesting him to ditch the melodic style and return to the hard trap music from 2020. The critical reception didn't stop the album from being successful as the tracks racked up thousands of streams on all platforms. "Streets Cry" was released on October 29, 2021 with Sulgeneris. It became his most popular song on Soundcloud with over fifty-thousand streams. The last single he released in 2021 was "Unstoppable" on December 24, 2021 along with a music video.  

2022: AKT Token[edit | edit source]

On February 28, Lil AK Trap announced that he would be releasing his own NFT token called "AKT Token."  

Critical Reception[edit | edit source]

His most popular single "Sippin" appeared on Hip Hop HQ's Top 100 Worst Rap Songs of 2019 list at No. 80. His albums have received negative to mixed reviews from reviewers on both RateYourMusic and Album of the Year.  

Lil Ak Trap Today, what is he doing? /Drug use[edit | edit source]

Lil Ak is yet to come with hits he is currently what he says on “grind mode” we are yet to see what Ak has come for us. He definitely has shown some KILLER snippets on his Instagram @lilaktrap that come with sensational vibes/energy. Lil Ak is currently on what’s called his (Drill phase) he is a big fan of New York style drill specifically Kay Flock. Lil Ak trap is currently facing his biggest battle with drug use as of right now. He as shown on his Instagram a lot of his drug use today including methamphetamine. Ak trap has a lot of support everywhere and has yet to come out with his quitting journey alongside with methamphetamine.
